3 Girly Alcoholic Drinks Every Guy Should Know How to Make

Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. Why the hell is there an article about girly alcoholic drinks on this website? Well, the answer is simple, and can be explained using the Transitive Property of Equality (yes… we are going to do some math). The Transitive Property of Equality says that “If a = b and b = c, then a = c.”

So lets assume that:

  1. A is WHAT YOU WANT
  2. B is WHAT GIRLS WANT
  3. C is GIRLY ALCOHOLIC DRINKS

If (A) WHAT YOU WANT = (B) WHAT GIRLS WANT and (B) WHAT GIRLS WANT = (C) GIRLY ALCOHOLIC DRINKS, then (A) WHAT YOU WANT [to learn how to make] = (C) GIRLY ALCOHOLIC DRINKS

It’s science fellas. You should learn how to make these 3 girly alcoholic drinks so you can give the ladies what they want!

Our criteria to be included on the list:

  • Has to be easy to make
  • Can’t have too many ingredients
  • Ingredients can’t be too obscure

We’ve come up with the top 3 girly alcoholic drinks every guy should know how to make to keep the ladies happy. They are conveniently listed in order of difficulty starting from the easiest to the most difficult (which is still pretty easy).

MimosaMimosa

This one is so easy we almost left if off the list. And most girls already know how to make this one. But we’ve got some small variations to up your mimosa game.

Traditional Mimosa Recipe

  • 1 part sparkling wine : 1 part orange juice

The standard mimosa recipe is equal parts sparkling wine to orange juice. Use a dry sparkling wine (sweet wine makes a terrible mimosa).

Now if you’re really trying to impress the ladies you should be using fresh squeezed OJ, so get someone to lend you their power juicer if you don’t have one. Buy the oranges by the bag and get Valencia oranges if you can. They have a much higher juice content.

To make this over the top though, grab some frozen mango chunks from the freezer section and run a couple handfuls through the blender to make a mango purée. Put a spoonful of mango purée at the bottom of the glass before you pour the mimosa.

Bonus Variation

Add two spoonfuls of mango purée to a glass and then fill the with sparkling wine. It’s almost the same thing but seems 10 times classier.

Sangria

Sangria

Sangria is one of the best drinks for an outdoor afternoon party or BBQ. It’s so easy to make, and it can be prepared in bulk before the party so you can just pour it when the ladies arrive. Did we mention how easy it is to make? There are a lot of easy variation with sangria, but we are going to focus on a tried and true recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of red wine (pretty much any red wine will work: house wine, box wine… all good)
  • Approx ½ cup of sugar (no need to measure – estimate it)
  • Juice from a lemon or an orange or two limes
  • A cup or two of soda water

Directions

  • Pour all the ingredients in a pitcher or container a few hours before the party. That’s it. Done!

Sapphire and Sin

Sapphire and Sin

This drink is just bad ass. It’s made for ladies that don’t like gin. Don’t tell them what kind of booze is in it, just have them try it. They’ll be happy they did. And no one would make fun of you if you made one for yourself too.

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1.5 shots of gin
  • 1 shot of lime juice
  • ½ shot of orange juice
  • ½ shot of ginger syrup (equal parts of crushed ginger, water, sugar – simmer, strain, and then let cool)

Directions

  • Pour all ingredients in a shaker with a lot of ice
  • Strain into a glass

There you have it. 3 girly alcoholic drinks every guy should know how to make. You’re welcome!
